What an awesome night I had. I love you, Washington, DC. For real, though. I was so sick, my voice was shot from the start of the show, but 500 folks came out and I promised that I would give them all I had. We jammed extra long after each song to give my voice a little more time to rest. We jammed at the end of LapDance so long, Rah Brown came and spit a hot sexy piece (thank you, love). I even cut the last song bc I knew my voice had to be annoying. I re-introduced the band and said goodnight, but the crowd wasn't having it-they wanted one more! I asked, "You can still understand what I'm saying?" They replied with a resounding "Yeah!" I asked, "You can stand to take another song with my voice sounding like this?" They said "Yeah!" So we hit 'em with "Confessions of A Confused Romantic" and they loved it! Thank you, DC for all the love...you made my trip all the more worthwhile. Mad love to Dr. Will Smith, Quincey Phillips, Tom Nueman, the bad ass DC keybordist Dre, and to Stefanie Renee. That was mad hot, yall! Can't wait to make it happen again...
